Because Kalagan offers a wide range of landscape design and installation services, our 3D designs can include a complete plan for your outdoor space — one team, one clear design direction, instead of piecing together separate ideas from multiple vendors. Your design package can include the overall layout, planting, material selections, colours, textures, hardscape features, softscape areas, and finishing details.
From First Sketch to Oculus Walkthrough
We begin with a consultation to learn more about your property, your ideas, your goals, and your budget. From there, we create a design direction and provide an estimate within 30 days. For larger or more detailed projects, we use 3D design and Oculus Quest technology so you can walk through your finished outdoor space — in virtual reality — before construction begins.
We are happy to work with you in whatever way is most convenient — in person, over the phone, or through Zoom. We also have experience working remotely with homeowners who live out of town and are enhancing a vacation property in the Okanagan.

Common Questions About 3D Landscape Design & Oculus Quest
What’s the difference between a 2D design and a 3D/Oculus design?
A 2D bird’s-eye plan shows layout, materials, and placement from above. A 3D design builds on that same plan to show colour, texture, grade, and finished features the way they will actually look on your property, and the Oculus Quest walkthrough lets you put on a headset and walk through that design in person before construction starts.
Is the Oculus Quest walkthrough included with every design?
It is typically used for larger or more detailed projects rather than every design — smaller projects are usually well served by a 2D or 3D rendering alone. We will recommend the right level of detail during your consultation.
Do I need a 3D design before I can get a quote?
No. You can get a starting estimate with the cost calculator on our main 3D Landscape Design page, or book a consultation directly. A full 3D design is most useful when you want to see the layout and finishes before committing to construction.
Can you build a 3D design from my existing architect’s plans or CAD drawings?
Yes. We regularly design from existing contractor CAD drawings, architect sketches, or inspiration photos, and can also start entirely from scratch if you do not have plans yet.
