Paver Patio Cost Calculator

Paver patios typically cost between $30 and $60 per square foot, with most professionally installed patios ranging from $12,000 to $75,000+.

Add-on ideas to discuss at consultation: existing patio removal, steps, borders or inlays, difficult access, seat walls, drainage, lighting.

What Makes This Different

Built for Real Okanagan Use

An interlocking paver patio gives you a durable, flexible surface that handles freeze-thaw cycles, patio furniture, fire tables, and daily foot traffic without cracking the way a poured slab can over time. Individual pavers can be lifted and reset if ever needed underneath, which is not an option with a monolithic concrete pour. Compared to natural stone, pavers give you a wider range of colours, patterns, and price points, which is why most of the patios we build across the Okanagan use this system.

How We Build It

Paver Patios: Materials & Process

Every paver patio starts below the surface: proper excavation, a compacted granular base, and edge restraints that keep the whole system locked together for the long term. We set pavers on a screeded bedding layer, then compact and polymeric-sand the joints so the surface stays stable and weed-resistant. We work with a range of paver lines and patterns to match your home’s style, from clean modern rectangles to more traditional tumbled finishes.

What Clients Say

Trusted By Okanagan Homeowners

★★★★★
4.6 / 5 Based on 58 Google reviews · Design-and-build projects across the Okanagan Valley
“Kalagan did an outstanding job on our major landscaping project that included two sets of stone steps, a large water feature, paving stone patio, several plant beds, irrigation system and lighting effects. Taylor brought a wealth of knowledge and ideas to the design process and was easy to work with. Communication was strong throughout the project and we heartily recommend Kalagan for your landscaping project.”
“Kalagan Outdoor Design completely gutted our backyard, then installed irrigation, new lawn, trees, shrubs, rock bordered planting areas and a new stone patio. We are absolutely delighted with the result. It far exceeded our expectations which were quite ambitious from the start. The entire team was a pleasure to work with — professional, courteous, creative and hard working.”
FAQ

Common Questions About Paver Patios

Why choose interlocking pavers over a poured concrete patio?

Pavers handle freeze-thaw cycles, furniture, fire tables, and daily foot traffic without cracking the way a poured slab can over time, and individual pavers can be lifted and reset if ever needed — not an option with a monolithic concrete pour.

How do paver patios compare to natural stone on cost and choice?

Pavers give a wider range of colours, patterns, and price points than natural stone, which is why most of the patios we build across the Okanagan use this system.

Can a paver patio be repaired if a section settles?

Yes — because pavers are individual units, an isolated area of settling can typically be lifted, the base corrected, and the pavers reset without disturbing the rest of the patio.

What’s included in a standard paver patio build?

Proper excavation, a compacted crushed-rock base, and drainage-graded installation, plus your choice of paver pattern and material — see our cost calculator for a starting range.
