24th Street

The 24th Street project focused on landscape lighting — layered path lighting, feature-tree uplighting, and warm wash lighting on architectural elements to give the property a completely different character after sunset.

Fixtures were selected for output, colour temperature, and long-term durability, and every run was planned during the design phase so the final wiring stays hidden and the lighting design reads as intentional rather than added-on.

Elgin Drive

The Elgin Drive project replaced a high-maintenance lawn with a mix of premium artificial turf and complementary hardscape, giving the homeowners a yard that stays green year-round in the Okanagan climate without the watering, mowing, and fertilizing schedule that comes with traditional grass.

The result feels natural underfoot, holds up to real use, and blends with the surrounding landscape rather than reading as an artificial insert.

Monashee

The Monashee project reimagined the rear yard as a dedicated outdoor living area — a paver patio designed for how the homeowners actually use the space, with clear circulation, defined gathering zones, and a finish that ties in with the architecture of the home.

Every element was planned with the property’s slope and sightlines in mind, from paver layout and edge detail to grading and drainage below the surface.

Vardon Lane

The Vardon Lane project brought a set of engineered retaining walls to a sloped Vernon property, reshaping the grade to create usable outdoor space while stabilizing the hillside above.

Kalagan Outdoor Design managed the project from initial site assessment through the finished wall system — coordinating drainage, fill, block selection, and finish grading so the terraced result looks like it has always belonged on the property.
