Lots here routinely run from half an acre to five acres or more, many bordered by open range, agricultural land, or second-growth forest rather than a neighbour’s fence line. BX sits higher and drier than the valley bottom, with thinner topsoil, more exposed bedrock, and a longer, hotter growing season on its south-facing benches — conditions where a well-planned xeriscape and drought-tolerant planting palette earns its keep far faster than a thirsty lawn ever could.
