The Bayview Heights backyard was rebuilt from the ground up: a curved artificial turf lawn bordered by a large paver patio, terraced concrete retaining walls climbing the hillside behind the property, and new planting beds of ornamental shrubs tying the whole space together.
A custom timber arbor with a built-in bench anchors the upper terrace, giving the family a shaded spot to sit above the lawn while the retaining walls do the work of turning a steep slope into usable, level outdoor space.
