The Mt Ida backyard wraps a curved artificial turf lawn around a decorative rock bed set with accent boulders, connected to the house by a natural stone stepping path and a set of large flagstone steps that lead up to a wood hot tub deck.
A mature willow tree on the property line was kept and built around rather than removed, anchoring the design and giving the new turf and rock beds a sense of having grown into an established yard rather than being installed on a blank lot.
