Most of our pool projects are residential backyards, from young families wanting a safe, low-maintenance pool for the kids to homeowners building the entertaining space they have been planning for years. On smaller urban and infill lots we build plunge pools and compact fiberglass installs where a full-size pool would not fit. How We Build Pool Building

Pool projects live or die on what happens before the excavator shows up. We start with a site assessment that covers slope, soil, access for equipment, existing drainage patterns, and where the pool will sit relative to the house, property lines, and setbacks. From there our design team works out the pool type, shape, and depth against your budget and how you actually plan to use the space — laps, lounging, kids, entertaining, or all of it. Because we design and build both the pool and the landscape around it, we can lay out the deck, the retaining walls, the shade structure zones, and the planting in the same drawings as the pool itself, instead of handing you off to a separate contractor once the shell goes in.

Construction follows the site conditions. Fiberglass installs move fast once the shell arrives on site: excavation, base preparation, shell placement, plumbing and electrical rough-in, backfill, and decking. Concrete pools take longer and give us full control over shape and depth, which matters on sloped Okanagan lots or where the pool needs to work around an existing retaining wall or mature tree. Plunge pools follow a scaled-down version of either process depending on the shell type, usually with a faster overall timeline given the smaller excavation footprint.

Every pool gets proper site drainage and grading engineered around it before we ever pour or place anything, so water moves away from the house and the surrounding hardscape stays stable through freeze-thaw cycles. Pool decking is built with the same base preparation and material standards as our paver patios: compacted aggregate base, correct slope for drainage, and a surface rated for wet, bare feet. How long does a pool build take?

A fiberglass pool with standard decking typically moves faster than a fully custom concrete pool, since the shell arrives pre-formed rather than being built on site.
